In Japan, the social system after WWII has been based on that of USA, "Capitalism". Socialists and communists have not been in government (except for coalitions with right-wing parties). Therefore, the "Left-wing", Sayoku or Kyu-Sayoku in Japanese, means them. Gokusa, Shin-Sayoku, which means "New-Left-wing" in Japanese, is radicalism for communist revolution with the use of terrolism.
